- 1 Voice Prayer Movement – Monthly Prayer Focus for February, 2012
•Prayer for Host Churches for February, 2012: Rev. Ernest Jackson, Pastor of York Street Baptist Church in Louisville KY and Rev. Keith Tyler, Pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. “Heavenly Father, we come in the Name of Jesus and by the Blood of the Lamb to ask Your blessings upon these two churches and these two pastors. Father, we ask that you increase their faith, strengthen and protect their families and give them financial stability all for the glory of God! Lord rebuke the devour sent to create havoc, strife and discord in Your Holy Temple and among Your people. May Your Spirit move freely upon Your people. We thank you that though the enemy may come out against these churches one way, You will defeat them and they will flee before them seven ways! Father, May The members be filled with the fruits of righteousness and their love abound more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. Put on them the full armor of God that they will stand against the attacks of the evil one. With boldness, empower York Street & Antioch Missionary to use the mighty spiritual weapons that You’ve given them to the glory of God and Christ our Savior! Heavenly Father, equip, anoint and empower each member of these Churches to reach their community for Christ! Father we thank you that they are the salt of the community, of the city and of the earth! Lord, Do great and mighty things through these churches and pastors. We pray that every man, every woman, every boy and every girl within a one mile radius of these churches will be won for Christ through the church! Nothing is too hard for You God! We know You want to do it! And now we’re asking You to do it! Father, light a fire in all of our hearts Lord that will not be put out! that will not be Burned out! Consume us with Your Holy Fire that we will burn for You! We ask all these things in the Mighty and Majestic Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus! In Jesus Name! Amen!
• Prayer of Repentance: “Heavenly and Most Gracious Father, we realize the enemy’s strategy is to divide and conquer, but through Christ Jesus we are more than conquerors! Forgive us for the times that we’ve resisted You. Forgive us for indifference and apathy towards prayer, witnessing, missions and Kingdom work. Forgive us for competition and comparison within the Body of Christ. Heavenly Father move upon us to unite and hold us together with the cement of Your love. Restore in our hearts the passion for Christ and the passion for community and the passion for service. Father, give us an earnest desire to follow You and empower us to deny ourselves, pick up our cross daily and then to follow You each day. Begin this work in me and in those in my church, and then Father we ask that you touch our brothers and sisters in Christ in every church in our city, in every church in our state, and in every church in the nations and world. Father God, anoint our efforts and anoint all that we do for You and for Your Kingdom. For we know that apart from You we can do nothing and that only what we do for Christ will last. Thank you Father for hearing our prayers and for answering our prayers - We ask it all in the Name of Jesus. Amen!”
• Prayer for Community/City: “Mighty God and Savior, Your Word says that If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray , and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Heavenly Father look down upon our community and our city - take hold of those places that are infected with sin that is overtaking our children, teenagers and adults; break the powers of darkness to hold captive your people and those who You foreknew since the beginning of time would belong to You. Give a special blessing to those who feel defeated. We plead the Blood of Jesus on our children. We plead the Blood of Jesus on principalities and on defeatism in our city. We know there’s victory and there’s healing in the Blood of Jesus. Give us wisdom and knowledge to go forth and tell them of Jesus. Let us be the light they need in a dying world. In Jesus Name. Amen.”
•Prayer for the State/United States: “Our Lord and Savior, we praise Your Name today. You are Worthy of all glory, honor and praise! Father we lift up our state and the United States to You. We give these streets to You. We give our state to You. We give our country to You. We lift up to You every women, every man, every boy and every girl who may feel defeated. Go through our states and empower each person to turn their hearts to You. Empower us to look to the Way Maker. Father God, make us to be like You to tell a dying community that there’s life in You! Lord, reach out Your hand to heal our streets, heal our country and heal us on the inside and then allow us to go beyond these doors to next door – and to go beyond these doors to down the street – and then to go beyond these doors to around the corner, that our city, this state and this United States will be reached for Christ. In Jesus Name. Amen.”
•Prayer for The Nations/World: “We lift up the Name that is above every name – Jesus! Thank You that you are pouring out Your Spirit as prophesied in the book of Joel, in which was said, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy , your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Thank you for putting hope and dreams into our hearts to go forth to declare to the nations that You are the King of Kings! Put preaching into the hearts of Your people to spread Your Good News. As we go out let them see Your love and Your goodness, for it is the goodness of God that leads man repent. We pray that this world will be impacted with the love and the goodness of God and their eyes will be opened to the fact that God is the source of their blessings – let their hearts overflow with joy, thanksgiving, praise; and then let them surrender their will for His will. In Jesus Name. Amen.”
• Individual Prayer Requests:
- I ask for prayer as 1VPM seeks to expand the evangelism component of 1 Voice. The needs are: Receptivity, a prayer and evangelism partner, skilled trainers, skilled workers for marketing, hospitality, clerical, outreach leaders from each church, the power of the Holy Spirit to be with us and Protection from the enemy.
